Haribhusan Brahma - Promoting handicraft and literature

Mr. Haribhusan Brahma has done tremendous efforts to showcase the bodo religion and culture in the form handicraft and promoting literature. All these are religion based (Bathou,) and the God (Barai) which is the source of Bodo culture.

A man of literature and Culture, Sri Brahma has won many prestigious award in the BTAD Govt. and from other organizations as well. Hari Bhusan Brahma for his outstanding contributions in the field of sculptures and literature. Brahma had created hundreds of wooden creations which are highly admired by the visitors at his house. He is also a writer and educationist in the district.

"Sandwa Baudiya" meaning "A Man of Forgetfulness" is a folk based tale of bodos which depicts story of an absent minded man named "Sandwa Baudiya". The tale relates to drying up of a rivulet resulting from washing of used up utensils by mistake and how satisfying the Goddess revive the water flow and sanctity. The whole story relates to cultural aspects, bodo community working collectively and their believe in Holiness. He has also participated in exhibition of handicrafts in sub-national and international exhibitions are some of the recognitions so far gained by Sri Brahma.
