Jhamu Yatra
'Jhamu Yatra' is the significant and popular festival of Goddess 'Mangala' and celebrated at Kakatpur block in Puri district of Odisha. It occurs on the first Tuesday of the sacred month of Vaisakh (April 14 to May 15) every year.
Jhiri Mela
Jhiri Mela is an annual fair held in Jammu during the month of October –November. The mela is a symbol of courage , honesty and compassion and proves to be strong rooted to add cultural value to the society. The history behind the origin of this mela is the legend of a farmer named Baba Jitto.
Jhoti-Chita-Muruja
This folk art of Odisha is bound up with its social and religious activities. In the month of Margasira, women folk worship the goddess Lakshmi. It is the harvest season when grain is thrashed and stored. During this auspicious occasion, the mud walls and floors are decorated with murals in white rice paste or pithau.
Joshimath
Joshimath is a city in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is home to one of the four cardinal pīthas established by Adi Shankara. Joshimath is home to several temples, the most renowed of which is the temple of Narasimha, where Badrinarayan is enshrined along with a pantheon of deities. The presiding deity Lord Narasimha is believed to have been established by Adi Sankara.
