Dr. Partha Pratim Baruah, is an asst. Professor at Gauhati University. He and his associates have conducted research work on Traditional Bio resource Management Strategies and its impact on Life and Culture of Dimasa Tribe of Eastern Himalayan Region. They have done intensive field study in and around North Cacher Hills Districts presently known as Dimahassao Distrct of Assam. The Dimasas are one of the culturally rich ethnic groups of North Eastern Region of India. Mostly, they live in the glens and valleys of the lofty North Cacher Hills of the Region.
