Gammat Theatre and Pandvani Folk Ballads of Chattisgarh

Theater is known as Gammat in Chhattisgarh. Pandvani is one of the lyrical forms of this theater. Several acclaimed plays of Habib Tanvir, such as Charandas Chor, are variations of Chhattisgarhi Theater, and heavily use Chhatttisgarhi folk songs and music.

Gotipua Nritya

Gotipua, an oriya etymon means a single boy. A dance which is performed by a single boy dancer in woman's costume is known as Gotipua dance. It is largely from these boy dancers that the present form of Odissi dance evolved. It is acknowledged that most of the present Odissi gurus were Gotipua dancers in their early days.

Gujari Bazaar

Gujari Bazaar, now also known as 'Ravivari' can be seen as a traditional form of modern shopping malls. Gilli Danda

Gilli Danda is a sport played with two wooden sticks called gilli and danda, usually by two individuals or two teams. The danda is longer (suitably handmade by the player) which one can swing easily. The gilli is smaller and is tapered on both sides. There is no standard length defined for the danda or gilli. However, the gilli is usually 3-6 inches long.
